These cars are very powerful and it's easy to spin the rear wheels when going on power. But they are also very good fun. Both cars are very equal and the racing should be very close.

    Regarding the tracks:

Amaroo - The Amaroo track is very short and has a lot of undulation changes. The Mustang should have a bit of an edge on this track with it being a bit better at handling than the Holden.

Sandown - Long straights and a lot of 90 degree corners is the home of Holden racing cars. The Holden is slightly more powerful and should have the edge here.

I will try to attend...my PC crashes as soon as I head out on track for some (as yet unidentified) reason.
Please add me as a Maybe, Jonatan.

EDIT: rF ans GSC are running without crashing now, but I haven't had the chance to install the mod and its bits, nor the tracks...you could change my sign-up to "Quite likely" if you want! :D

EDIT2: You can remove me from the reserves and put me on the "Definitely WILL be there" list, Jonatan :)

What exactly are the cars? Kinda like 1980s V8 Supercars? As this does sound fun :D

Is the mod available in a form other than an exe?
  7. Lars Brugman Licensed Driver

    oh... Sandown :D
    Sign me up please Jonatan!

They are GroupA Touring Cars (1984-5 to 1991-2 dependent on which country they were raced) and you could say that, the Mustang and Holden, are that times V8 Supercars as both were powered by big V8's :)

If you go into youtube you can search for: "ATCC 1985 Surfers Paradise" and you can see the cars in action :)

Unfortunately they aren't at the moment but if you want I could try and pack the files themselves together :)

Hope you join up with us as the cars are a real blast to drive. Drift galour or smooth as a piece of metal, it's all up to you how you want to drive them but you can drive them both ways :D

Edited my first post (again), see you tonight. :)

BTW, the server is running MAZE instead of Sandown or Amaroo.

Will get onto it right away so that it is up and running :)
  13. Jonatan Åcerclinth Licensed Driver

    Server is up! :)

Should I get the Mod files put together without an .exe?

Uploading it now. Will take a couple of hours to get it done, yet again because of my upload rate, but expect it to be up early evening :)

Alternate download for the main mod added to the Opening Post :)
  17. April Dillon Licensed Driver

Awesome, thank you :) Downloading now

Got it all installed, thanks for the alternate download. I know I was being a nuisance with that one! :p

Which cars are we going to be racing in? Any in particular? Holden VK, VL and Mustang? (They seem to be identical across all years)

Sign me up! These cares are not well controlled, but not in a way that's annoying. More in a way that's funny. :)
  20. Jonatan Åcerclinth Licensed Driver

    Nope, you were not :)

We'll be using all Holdens and Mustangs along all the years.

The main difference between the Holdens is, just like it would be in Real Life, the newer models has a bit more power (hopefully ;) ) and is slightly heavier which makes them slightly slower in the corners.

The 85-86 Holdens took the Sierra on tirewear in most races. The later Holdens had more trouble with tirewear :)
