How much do you think 50L cost you lap here?
  10. Rob Hermans SRP Manager

I don't understand the question? Are you having to pay for your petrol? :p
I'm using just over 2.3l per lap, and I think the race will be 29 or 30 laps - you do the "math"! :D
  11. Chris Shepherd Licensed Driver

Try this; How much do you think 50L cost you a lap here, in time ? ;)

Sorry, tired. Time for sleep soon!
  12. Rob Hermans SRP Manager

Okayyyy...time on the track, or time in the pits filling up?
  13. Chris Shepherd Licensed Driver

Haha, you got me again!

    On track mate.
  14. Rob Hermans SRP Manager

[IMG] I don't think having a full tank slows you down significantly. I reckon we need 70l+ for the race, and I *think* you would lose more time in the pits filling up than you lose carrying more fuel at the start. Also, when you have worn tyres, the weight of the fuel makes some difference to the handling...I think it's better to have a lighter car later in the race?
  15. Chris Shepherd Licensed Driver

Well if having 50L does not slow you down over 1 lap, UFFF! :(

Time for sleep. Will be up and about around 3pm. I will then, test this out!
  16. Rob Hermans SRP Manager

Of course, if you're talking about only 1 lap, then having a full tank will make some difference. But as I was trying to point out, there's no point in taking say, 35L at the start, because you lose more time filling up in the pit stop than you gain by being lighter at the start.
Anyway, the main concern in this series is the tyres.
  17. Ben Hackeson Licensed Driver

Im 50/50 atm through illness :(
  18. Geoffrey Fournier Licensed Driver

Well some practise for nothing ;( Been pushed into first lap after 50sec... Let's hope i will do a bit more next races. Grats finishers.

Epic race! 45 mins of manic mini!! Followed Nico the first part of the race, exchanging the lead a couple of time, always under 1 second in his trail, followed closely by Rob and Sebastien. Nico wanted to get in my passenger seat and ended up bouncing off and losing ground, falling back to 4th place. This contact put Rob side-by-side with me, he then took the lead. We battled some more, meanwhile Nico had done and early pitstop and the undercut worked a treat. His fresh tyres and the time myself and Rob lost as we battled, was enough to put Nico back in the lead by 2 seconds almost. Lap after lap I gained 1 or 2 tenths which put me on his rear again with a few laps to go. I could not make the pass and Nico won!

    Well done mate!

    Thanks Aaron for the league.

Lets crack on and off to Barcelona we go!

Not the best start in a league for me but had some fun nevertheless :).
Could keep up with the leading group for a few laps until went off the track and lost a few places. Second excursion cost me broken suspension as i slightly touched the barriers and my FL was overheating like mad . On top of that i didn't put enough juice at the pits and was out of it 2 corners before the finish line:rolleyes:. All in all eventful race:).
Oh, and the changes i made to FFB and some mapping didn't carry on from practice to the race so i have to look at that too:confused:

I'll be back with a vengeance for the next round:p
Thanks Aaron and all drivers who DID attended :)
